Names Introduction

I felt lead to move in a different direction than simply the "names of God," but rather, the names for God, and the names He has for us - His children. I want to express what God has revealed to me. If you know who everyone is, if you know who you are, than the insecurities leave... since it's settled, there's no need for a fuss. When we learn who God is, who we are, and who our enemy is, our life will truly change! Already I have seen such change in my life that it's hard to believe that I was ever the way I was, and yet, still God is revealing to me wrong beliefs I have about Him, myself, or even an unrealistic view of Satan’s power. What God wants to show His children is that He is God, He is Lord, and He is Love. We, in relation to Him, are children of Light, Children of Love, called to be just like our loving Daddy, and to take on His character and beliefs. Then God shows us that old serpent: a completely defeated foe. Satan has no power over us. His only power is to deceive, and to accuse, nothing further.

From learning my role as God's child, to learning my role as a man, God has began to change what I think, and "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he " (Proverbs 23:7), so if I believe the lies of satan about who my God is, what kind of relationship God wants with me, and who I am, then what will I pattern my life to be? This is the cause for most sin. Jesus said " Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit." (Matthew 12:33) He also said “Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." (V.20). Many Christians are taught to change your actions only. Isn't that like trying to paint green grapes, red? Just because I change the fruit, that vine will still continue to produce green grapes. If I try to simply change my actions, I am not changed. But if I allow the Holy Spirit to do a work in me, and change me, then my actions will soon follow. Many people stop an addiction (whether over-eating, drugs, TV, whatever.) only to pick up another one... Maybe it's because only their actions changed. Absence is not necessarily deliverance, trust me, I know. So, will you go on this journey of getting to know God, and seeing things as He sees them with me? It has begun a change in my life, and I know that if you will come to the Truth, it can your’s too
